Obituary of Paula Peterson

Paula Yood Peterson, age 68, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 28, 2016, at her home in Green Brook. She was born in Plainfield and had lived in Green Brook for many years. Prior to her retirement in 2002, Mrs. Peterson was a Human Resources Manager for Conoco Phillips at the Bayway Refinery in Linden. Paula was a kind and loving person, devoted to her family. She also loved all animals, especially the feral cats for which she cared. She was predeceased by her mother, Helen Hull Yood. Surviving are her husband, Ronald Peterson; her son, Kyle Peterson; her father, Dr. Harold Yood; her brother, Dr. Andrew Yood and his wife, Ruth; her sisters, Pamela Yood and Patricia Herskovitz, and Patricia's husband, Robert. She is also survived by her grandson, Jake Peterson. A private funeral service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016, under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals, Watchung. Donations in her memory can be made to Plainfield Humane Society or Charity of your choice.
