Obituary of Jerome L. Fechtner

Dr. Jerome Leroy Fechtner, a longtime resident of Watchung, died peacefully at home on Friday, April 1. He was 94. A 1943 graduate of the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry. Jerry served as a LT in WW II in the United States Navy. Dr. Fechtner practiced Family Dentistry from 1947 until his retirement in 2006. He is survived by his wife Sondra Fechtner; sons Dr. Kenneth Fechtner; Dr. Robert Fechtner, his wife Nan, and their sons Ben, Zach, and Sam; Dr. Daniel Fechtner, his wife Mei Mah, and their sons Max and Ezra; and Dr. Lawrence Fechtner, his wife Sarah, and their daughter Hannah; sister Barbara Bierman, her husband Monroe; He was preceded in death by his sister Gertrude Gold. Funeral services are being held on Sunday April 3, 11:00 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung, NJ 07069. Memorials may be made to theraptortrust.org
