Obituary of Robert Finney

Warren: Robert Finney, age 90, died on Thursday July 14, 2016 at his home in Warren. Born in Rahway, Mr. Finney had resided in Fanwood before moving to Warren over 50 years ago. In 1946 Mr. Finney received a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from Rutgers University and later went on to earn his MBA, also from Rutgers University. Mr. Finney proudly served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He worked for Novartis in Summit for many years and retired in 1990 as a supervising engineer. Along with his wife Thelma, they served as officers of the Plainfield Kennel Club for 30 years and they loved to raise and show miniature poodles. He also enjoyed playing golf. He is predeceased by his wife Thelma Finney in 2003. Mr. Finney is survived by his cousin Marc Maglione and his wife Linda of Jackson. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Higgins Home for Funeral 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ followed by the entombment at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge. NJ
