Obituary of Frank Colantuono
Warren: Frank Colantuono, age 77, died on Friday August 19, 2016. He was born and raised in Newark, where he opened and ran a scrap metal business for many decades. He later lived in Union, before moving to Watchung and eventually Warren.
Frank was a member of St. Mary’s Stony Hill Church in Watchung. His love of sports encompassed much of his life. An avid fan of the Yankees and the Giants, he rarely missed watching them on TV or in the stands. His greatest joy, though, was his family. As a father, he coached his children in Little League, and as a grandfather, he was a committed spectator and the biggest fan. When he wasn’t on the sidelines, Frank was often at his house on Long Beach Island, a place that gave him the long scenic bike rides he always craved.
He is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Moczydlowski) Colantuono, his daughter Cindy Norcia and her fiancé Jim, two sons Dan and Michael and their wives Tracy and Sarah as well as eight grandchildren Alex, Nick, Frank, Mike, Gillian, Olivia, Matt and Allison.
A private graveside service will be held at St. Mary’s Stony Hill in Watchung. Funeral services are under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals, Watchung. Memorial dontaions may be made in his loving memory to The Michael J. Fox Foundation at Donation Processing The Michael J. Fox Foundation P.O. Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014
