Obituary of Louise T. D'Agostino

Louise T. D'Agostino, age 70, died on Monday, September 12, 2016, at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Born in Newark, NJ Louise had been a lifelong resident of Roselle Park. Louise graduated from Douglass College and continued on to receive her Master's Degree in Education. She worked for the Newark Public School System for 40 years as a special education teacher. She was a communicant of the Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park and was a member of the Rosary Society. Louise was a kind and gentle soul who was selfless with her time. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all. Surviving are her brothers George V. D'Agostino and his financee Patricia Thomsen and John D'Agostino and his wife Judith Ann D'Agostino; nieces Lisa Capriglione, Lani D'Agostino and her partner Keith Williams, Lynn D'Agostino-Lopes and her husband John Lopes, Charla Astle and her husband Christian Astle and Cara D'Agostino; grandnieces and grandnephews Nicole Fransico, Vincent Capriglione, Giovanni Lopes, Greyson Astle and Hunter Astle; great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews Mason Fransico and Gianna Capriglione. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016 from2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Assumption, Roselle Park.
