Obituary of Michael Romsak
Michael Romsak, age 83, died on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bayonne and was a lifelong resident.
He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Romsak was a machinist for Western Electric for 33 years. He was also a general contractor and continued to work long after he retired.
He was a Communicant of St. Mary's Church in Bayonne and a member of the American Legion Post #19 in Bayonne.
Mr. Romsak enjoyed bowling, dancing and crabbing out of Liberty State Park. But most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his wife of over 50 years, Joan in 2013.
Surviving are his son, Michael P. Romsak, Jr.; his daughter, Nancy Campbell and her husband, Kenny; his cherished grandchildren, Kenny, Melissa and Patrick and his dear sister, Theresa Gouker.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 10th from 2 to 7 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Church followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
