Obituary of Dorothy A. Marko

Dorothy A. (Winiski) Marko, age 82, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Stonebridge at Montgomery Health Care in Skillman. Born in Plainfield, she was a lifelong resident of North Plainfield until moving to Skillman 3 years ago. Prior to retiring Dorothy had worked as a beautician at Betty & Joseph's Beauty Salon in Plainfield and the last ten years at Elegance Salon in North Plainfield. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in North Plainfield. Dorothy loved spending time with her family, she will be missed. Surviving is her husband Robert Marko; her daughter Frances McKenna and her husband Michael; grandchildren Robert and Lauren; sisters Barbara Labno and Marie Bruestle and her husband Roger. A visitation will be held on Thursday October 13, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Friday, October 14th at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, North Plainfield. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
