James J. Paldino
Warren: James J. Paldino, age 96, died on Tuesday, October 11, 2106 at his home surrounded by his loving family.. He was born in Jersey City and moved to Warren in 1923.
Mr. Paldino served in the United States Air Force during World War II as a tail gunner. He flew 35 missions and earned 7 air medals including the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was stationed in Ipswitch, England.
Prior to his retirement, he was a millwright for American Can Company in Hillside.
Mr. Paldino enjoyed gardening especially growing tomatoes, peppers and corn.
He is predeceased by his wife, Bernice Paldino in 1989.
Surviving are his nieces and nephews, Patricia (Arthur) Petty, Gary Adcock, Gail Paldino, Pam Paldino, Dino Paldino, Lynn Jackson and many great nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 14th from 4 to 8 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Funeral services will begin on Saturday at 9:00 am the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
