Obituary of Richard Michael Herman

Richard Michael Herman, age 45, died on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Chester County Hospital in Westchester, PA. He was born in Plainfield and had lived in Warren for most of his life until moving to Downingtown, PA in 1995. He was a driver for SWI in Downingtown for over 10 years. Mr. Herman was a former Communicant of Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren. He liked fixing things and was always helping people. Mr. Herman is survived by his wife, Martine Eickstedt Herman; his sons, Michael, Jake and R.J.; his mother, Nancy Herman; his sisters, Kristy Hartman and her husband, Jeff of Watchung and Janice Herman of Somerset and his brother, William (Bill) Herman and his wife Sherri of Berwick, PA. He is also survived by 5 nieces and nephews. Funerals services will begin on Saturday, December 7th at 9:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel. Interment will be at Somerset Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richard M.Herman Memorial, @DNB First Bank, 701 East Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. There will also be a Memorial Service on Saturday, 12/14/13 at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 46 West Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. Visitation from 11-12 and the service will start at 12:00 noon.
