I had been long out of touch with Jon, but when I was a boy he was my counselor at a camp in Maine. My memories of him remain vivid--even that he was a first baseman and that he taught me to play the position. Although I will be a stranger to his family, I want each of them to know that I remember Jon with fondness and respect.
