Obituary of Arlene E. Long

Arlene E. (Hinkle) Long, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at her home in Plainfield. Born and raised in West Virginia, she moved to NJ in 1961, residing in Plainfield. Arlene was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and reading the Bible. She loved spending time with her family and will be missed. Predeceased by her husband Johnie Long in 1988. Survived by her children Charles Long and his wife Gloria, Shirley Holt and her husband Jessie, Linda Bolton and her husband Robert and Loretta Lacey; her grandchildren Kristie, Bobbi, Brian, Keith and his wife Vanessa, Andrew and Charles; 10 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; her brother Robert Hinkle and his wife Sally. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
