Obituary of Jeffrey Nicol Easthope
Jeffrey N. Easthope, age 70, died on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Overlook Hospital Medical Center in Summit. Born and raised in Prescot, England he has resided in Warren since 1974.
Jeffrey received his degree in Chemical Engineering in Liverpool, England. He worked for the Engineering Firm of Woodhall-Duckham and travelled to many countries including Japan and Brazil. He started up the first synthetic gas plant in America for PSE&G and had worked at Exxon Engineering as a Chemical Engineer.
Jeffrey became a Life Underwriter for the Life Underwriter Training Council. He was elected a Charter Engineer and elected Fellow at the Institute of Chemical Engineers. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus at Our Lady of the Mount Roman Catholic Church, Warren. He served on the board and was a coach for the Watchung Hills Soccer Association.
In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, fishing, furniture refinishing and cooking, his family considered him a gourmet chef and enjoyed many wonderful meals together.
Survived by his loving wife Sally Tumino Easthope and his sons James and Jeff.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A funeral service will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel, Warren. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Stony Hill Cemetery, Watchung.
