Obituary of Alecia Ann Brown

Alecia Ann Brown, age 54, passed away on Thursday December 1, 2016 at Kindred Hospital in Rahway. Born on January 9, 1962 to Richard and Irene (Evans) Brown in Trenton. Alecia was raised in Jersey City and resided in North Plainfield before moving to South Plainfield eight years ago. She attended Virginia Union University. Alecia was employed as a police officer for the Port Authority New York/New Jersey. She retired November 29, 2008. She enjoyed traveling, fishing and music. She is survived by her parents Irene (Evans) Gaynor and James Gaynor, sister Simone Brown and brother Darin Gaynor. She is also survived by her two nieces Paris Brown, Normandy Brown-Lands and host of loving family and friends. The visitation will be held on Saturday December 10, 2016 from 9 to 12 pm at Higgins Funeral Home at 209 West 8th St. Plainfield NJ, followed by a funeral service at 12 pm at the funeral home. Cremation is private.
