Obituary of Florence Abrams

Florence Farber Abrams, age 85, died peacefully at her home in New York City, NY on December 16, 2016 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Florence was surrounded by her three daughters~ Mori Abrams, with whom she resided, Beth Abrams of Walnut Creek, Ca., and Fran Stanley (Jeff Sankus) of Whitehouse Station, NJ. Florence was born in Rahway, NJ to Ira and Rose Farber and graduated from Rahway High School in 1948 and Douglas College in 1952. In 1953 Florence married her beloved husband, Herbert who predeceased her in 1996. In addition to her three daughters, Florence is survived by her cherished grandchildren, Sarah Rose Stanley of Oakhurst, NJ and Ian Harrison Stanley of Tallahassee, Florida; her beloved brothers, Jerome C Farber (Thelma) of Boca Raton, Florida and Hilliard Farber (Gloria) of New York City, NY; and predeceased by her sister Audrey C. Owen in 2000. Funeral services will be held Sunday December 18 at 11 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watching, NJ.
