Hello,
I found an article regarding Ms. Agnes teaching career while sitting in the faculty lounge of an elementary school I was subbing at this morning. Her life story really, really encouraged me to perhaps someday pursue a Master's in Education. I already have a Masters in Counselor Education. I started subbing a few months ago. But i began to think I was too old at 59! to get a degree to become a Teacher. I was starting to feel like it was a stupid idea. But this article about her really gave me hope! I had first just skipped through the article and saw that she was 100 years old at the time. For I thought she had started teaching in her 30's. But I re-read the article again and saw that she started teaching at age 81! I wish I could have thanked her. I am sure the angels in Heaven are telling her right now what an inspiration she is to me presently!!!

Though I may not know you. But the fact that you have been teaching to your ripe old age means you have the love for teaching people and spread the love of educating someone to achieve their potential.
Salute you.

For her daughter Agnes & loved ones ~ my heart has been touched, thinking of the children and her daughter Agnes; how they must have had heavy hearts returning to Sundance school. My oldest half-brother Glen Asher York is being memorialized in a ceremony this Saturday, September 23, 2017 in Morristown, New Jersey. He lived to be 80 & was our father's first child. Glen Asher York (10/16/36 ~ 11/18/16) Sincere condolences, a writer 'A Song, a Prayer, a Free Spirit' ~ Janet York Marquez

Yesterday I had tears when finding our special beacon of light in a storm had rested from her works. I too work with children and am considering life's decision. I want to express how Agnes's light of joy still lives in me. ~ jsymphony

Our daughter, Demiana, told us that a classmate informed her that - sadly - Granny had passed away recently. We are so very sad at Granny's passing, and want you to know how much we loved seeing her when our children attended Sundance School. Granny was a big part of what made Sundance such a special place, and I am sure things won't be the same without her. God bless and comfort you all.
Sincerely,
The Doss Family
