Obituary of Sylvia Hoffman

Sylvia (Kremp) Hoffman, age 53, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville. Born and raised in Rostock, Germany, she moved to Scotch Plains in 1993, she has resided in Warren since 2000. Sylvia graduated from college with a degree in nursing, she worked for many years as a registered nurse. Sylvia enjoyed traveling the world, especially visiting Munich and Italy. She also enjoyed watching comedy movies and loved spending time with her family. Predeceased by her mother Ingrid (Kuhn) Kremp and her sister Gisela Steppeler. Survived by her husband Timothy Hoffman; her children Karl, Eva, Hans and Max Hoffman; her father Dieter Kremp and her dear friends Jackie, Cindy, Dawn and Kristen. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017, from 5-9 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. Selected family members will share memories of Sylvia at 8:30 p.m. Cremation is private.
