Obituary of Consuelo Sasso

Consuelo "Connie" Sasso, 95, of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, passed away on February 21, 2017. She was born in Reading, Pennsylvania and had lived in Plainfield and Watchung before moving to Whitehouse Station 6 years ago. She attended the Julliard School of Music. She sang opera and was a piano teacher later in life. She loved music, animals and particularly birds. Mrs. Sasso is predeceased by her husband, Lt. Michael J. Sasso; her daughter, Jeannie L. Sasso Catalano; her brothers, Edward, Joseph, Bonn and her sister Louise. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ciarletta of Clinton, NJ; her 2 sons, Richard M. Sasso (Brenda) of Whitehouse Station and Michael A. Sasso (Kathy) of Tewksbury, NJ; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; her sister, Alice Haas of Bridgewater, NJ and many nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation on Friday, February 24th from 4 to 8 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung with a service at 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the ASPCA at www.aspca.org.
