Obituary of John DeForge Farrell

John DeForge Farrell age 90 of Woodstock, GA, formerly of Warren, NJ passed away Monday February 13, 2017. A visitation will be held on March 25, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel followed by a 10:30 am memorial mass with Father Sean W. Kenney officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Bethel Cemetery, Warren, NJ. Mr. Farrell was a paratrooper with the 11th Airborne in WWII and the 101st in Korea. He was also a member of the American Legion and Warren Historic Sites Committee. Mr. Farrell is survived by his daughter; Jill (Mark) Fairchild, Woodstock, GA, brother; William (Debra) Farrell, Plantation, FL, sisters; Peggy Dove, Whiting, NJ, Doralu Yurkovitch, Warren, NJ, 4 grandchildren; Ryan Govern (Tricia), Jena Desiderio (Logan), Carlee Fairchild, Brooke Fairchild, great grandchild; Emily Govern. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Robert Desiderio of Long Valley, NJ and his daughter-in-law, Nancy Farrell of Yamhill, OR. He is preceded in death by his wife; Mabel Farrell, son; John Farrell and daughter; Judi Desiderio. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer, the Melanoma Research Foundation or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
