Obituary of Barbara S. Vinci

Barbara Susan Vinci, age 68, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at her home in Warren surrounded by her family. Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Vinci has resided in Basking Ridge and Warren for over thirty years. Mrs. Vinci is a member of Our Lady of the Mount R.C. Church in Warren. She was a woman of sincere kindness with a big heart. She put her love into everything she did especially caring for her granddaughter Giavanna. She was a wonderful cook and along with her husband, James they hosted many family holidays. She enjoyed shopping, fashion and had traveled the world with her family. She was also an avid Giants fan. She is survived by her husband James Vinci of 45 years; a daughter Victoria Larosa and her husband Dominick and their daughter Giavanna of Bridgewater; a son James Vinci, Jr. and his partner George Lermontov of Clifton; three brothers Rev. Roch Ciandella, James Ciandella and Gerard Ciandella and two sisters Judy Mandia and Geraldine Dadezzio. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 18th, at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Mount R.C. Church in Warren. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
