Rose Bartnicki Devlin Bridgewater: Rose Bartnicki Devlin, age 90, died on Palm Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. She was born and raised in Jersey City and lived in Paramus for 40 years before moving to Brick and then to Bridgewater. Rose was a home maker, wonderful wife, and loving mother of eight children who she inspired by her example to follow Christ in their everyday lives. She was a devoted parishioner and attended daily mass for decades at Our Lady of the Visitation Church in Paramus where she was a Eucharistic Minister, member of the Rosary Society, Bible Study leader, and head coordinator of the annual Church Bazaar. She was also very active in feeding the poor, visiting the sick, and helping in the Parish office. She was even known as the “Hot Dog Lady” by many of the children at the OLV church grammar school since she ran that event each week. Rose along with her husband Walter generously opened their home and hosted many exchange students, visiting priests, and other friends and church members whenever asked. In recent years while residing at Brandywine Assisted Living, Rose enjoyed reading, crocheting, ceramics and adult coloring books with her many friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Albert and Virginia Vercammen; her first husband, Walter Bartnicki; her second husband, John Devlin; her son-in-law, Thomas Jack; and her granddaughters, Hope Galdi and Erin Tiernan. Surviving are her children, Rev.
