Obituary of David J. Ray

David J. Ray, age 56, died on Friday, December 13th, 2013 at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold. Born in Summit, he resided in Meyersville before establishing a family and living in Warren for 17 years. He then lived in Watchung for eight years. David was a Systems Manager with Wakefern Food Corporation in Raritan for many years. He was a member of Wilson Memorial Union Church in Watchung where he taught Sunday School. David was an assistant Scout Master for troop #228. In his free time he enjoyed crabbing, fishing and cooking. He loved his many vacations with his children at the 1000 Islands. He is survived by his four children Christopher Ray, Jessica Ray, John Ray and Catherine Ray; his siblings Arlene Seidel and husband Roger, Diane Ray, Donna Ray, Roger Ray and wife Sandra, 7 nieces and nephews and 4 great nieces and nephews. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. with a 12:00 p.m. service followed by a luncheon. Arrangements are under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ 07069.
