Obituary of Mary Virginia Nunn

Mary Virginia (Hedberg) Nunn, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at her home in Watchung. A lifelong resident of Watchung, Ginnie was a graduate of North Plainfield High School. She was a member of First Park Baptist Church, Plainfield and Wilson Memorial Church, Watchung. Ginnie worked in the medical department of Eastern Aircraft, Linden and the Adolescent Development Center in Verona, NJ, prior to her employment by the Watchung Board of Education. She was a classroom instructional aide at Bayberry School assisting Miss Barbara Hoffman for 25 years. She also assisted her beloved husband Charles E. Nunn in his construction business. As well as her husband, she was predeceased by her parents John W. and Mildred P. Hedberg, sister Dorothy Lohr of Watchung and brothers Paul Hedberg of North Plainfield and Winston Hedberg of Perth Amboy. She is also survived by great-grandson Rhett. Surviving are her sons Charles E. Nunn, Jr. (Chip), and his wife Mary of Stewartsville and daughter Jennifer Swanciger, Richard (Rick) and his wife Kathy and their sons, Dale, Gregory (Blaire) and Jason. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Robert Nunn of Washington, NJ, and her dear friend Barbara Hoffman of Watchung. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Wilson Memorial Church, Watchung. Interment will be held privately at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
