Obituary of Elsie Elaine Cardone

North Plainfield: Elsie Cardone, age 82, passed away on Saturday May 20, 2017 at her niece’s home in North Plainfield surround by her family. Born in Plainfield, Elsie was a lifelong resident of North Plainfield.

Prior to her retirement Elsie worked for Chubb as a secretary for many years.

Elsie was a long time communicant of St. Joseph’s RC Church in North Plainfield. She was also an active member of the North Plainfield Senior Citizens, where she would organize monthly bus trips to Atlantic City. She had a real love for her pets. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and close friends, especially around the holidays.

She is predeceased by her sister Ann Aller and her brothers Joseph and James Cardone

She is survived by her brother Dominick Cardone and his wife Diana; a niece Rosemary Halderman (William); a nephew George Aller (Jill); six great nieces and nephews; Victoria Garcia (Michael), Susan Szabo (Mark), Roger Heilos (Sarah), George Aller III, Mark Cardone (Claudia) and James Cardone (Nancy)

A visitation will be held on Tuesday May 23, 2017, 4 to 8pm at Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ. Funeral services will begin at 9:00 am on Wednesday at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s RC Church in North Plainfield. The interment will be held at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield.
