Obituary of Beverly E. Markey

Lakewood: Beverly E. (Brown) Markey, age 86, died on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. She was born in Irvington and lived in Green Brook for 51 years before moving to Lakewood. Prior to her retirement, she owned a dollhouse store in Warren for many years. Mrs. Markey was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary and the Green Brook Seniors Club. Surviving are her husband, John E. Markey; her son, Jack Markey and his wife, Barbara; her daughters, Michelle Morrison and her husband, Kurt, Donna Pfingst and her husband, Jeff and Laurie Weniger and her husband, Tim; her siblings, Norman Brown, Carol Crouse and Terry Brown. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 Great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 30th from 3 to 6pm with a funeral service following at 6 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. A gathering will be held on Monday, July 31st at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by committal prayers and interment at St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia.
