Obituary of Joseph Lee Waller
Joseph Lee Waller passed away on August 1, 2017 at the NJ Veterans Memorial Home in Edison. He was 97 years old. Mr. Waller was born in Shelbyville, KY.
He was a veteran of World War II, having enlisted in the Navy at the age of 20. Joseph was assigned to the aircraft carrier Yorktown, where he fought in the Battle of The Coral Sea and The Battle of Midway. Joseph achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer. While stationed at Lakehurst Naval Base, NJ, Joseph met his sweetheart. His wife of 72 years, Carmela (Loccisano) Waller. They have five children: C. Richard Waller, Rosemary (Waller) Gibbs, Nancy Waller, Joseph Waller, Jr. and Paula (Waller) Dicecco. Also ten grandchildren: Justin, Corianne, Todd, Jamie, Megan, Carolyn, Heather, Krista, Michael & Nicole and two great-grandchildren. Joseph the husband, the father, the grandfather, the uncle, the friend, will be loved and missed by all.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 1:00-3:30 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ followed by a funeral service at 3:30 p.m.
