Obituary of Robert Lee Harnick
Basking Ridge: Robert Lee Harnick, age 95, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at his home in Basking Ridge surrounded by his loving family. Born in Caldwell Robert had resided in Seagate NY, New York City, Mamaroneck and Watchung before moving to Basking Ridge in 2007.
Robert served in the US Army during World War II.
He graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Robert began his career as a lithographer in New York City, where he often printed top secret documents for the government. He went on to own and operate Court Square Lithography and Golden Arrow Graphics New York City.
He was a volunteer with the New York City Mounted Police. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time at his vacation homes on Singer Island and in North Palm Beach.
Predeceased by his loving wife Sherry Harnick.
Survived by his son Donn Harnick, M.D.; his daughter Jill Parker and her husband Steve; 2 grandchildren Scott Parker and his wife Denise and Kerri Parker and her husband Gabe Crate; 1 great-grandchild Ashley Parker and his sister Georgette Harnick.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ 07069. Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ.
