Obituary of Jose Gonzalez

Jose Gonzalez, age 67 died on Friday, August 11, 2017 at JFK Medical center in Edison. He was born and raised in Puerto Rico and lived in Plainfield before moving to North Plainfield 10 years ago. Mr. Gonzalez worked for Restaurant depot in South Plainfield. He was an active member of St. Mary's Church. He enjoyed vegetable and herb gardening but spending time with his family was most important. Surviving are his wife, Maria Gonzalez; his daughter, Joann Gonzalez and her husband, Mark Williams; his sons, Joseph Gonzalez and his wife, Yadira and Ulysses Gonzalez and his fiancé, Lauren Lubeck; his 4 brothers and 7 sisters. He is also survived by his grandchildren. Joseph Gonzalez, Jr. and Julissa Gonzalez. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 15th from 5 to 9 pm at Higgins Home for Funeral, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday at 9 am at the funeral home followed by a 10 am Funeral Mass at st. Mary's Church in Plainfield. Interment will be at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.
