Jim & Mary will always be in my heart. So many memories of days with my room mate, Mary, at Chestnut Hill, then after marriage when Jim, Mary, Chet & I enjoyed times with our young children. Jim & Mary - two of the kindest, most gentle, loving people ever. Our lives were enriched by knowing them. Rest in peace Jim, Mary, and Jimmy

Jim and Mary were the first two people I met at Haig Point. We were next door neighbors. I will always remember Jim's kindness, humor, generosity, caring. He was a most special man. I was fortunate to have known him. He touched the lives of so many. Jim, I will miss you. I hope that you and Mary are dancing together again.

We knew and respected both your mom and dad. They were both so much fun and helped us acclimate to Haig Point. Once your mom went into the assisted living facility, we saw how loving your dad was—he was always on the boat either going to or coming from your mom. We heard how proud he was of his children and grandchildren. He loved my chocolate chip cookies and surprisingly to us—Elvis Presley. In his kitchen you should find a big gaudy Elvis cup that we brought him from Graceland. Your dad was also a magnificent dancer, so smooth on his feet. It was a pleasure to watch him, especially with your mom.
We will miss your dad tremendously. He was a gentleman, an interesting man, one of the most ethical people we knew. On Sundays we will miss him most. Every Sunday was the same, the “church boat” (9:40am), discussion about Mary’s condition, what he was reading, and general boat talk with the other church goers. After church, over to see his Mary. We will miss him!

Please accept our deepest condolences.. we were so sorry to hear of Jim and Mary's passing. They were such a dear and loving couple.
We first met Mary and Jim when Dan and
our son David played soccer in high school. We enjoyed their company so much and even met them at Hilton Head.
We would exchange Christmas cards and we were so sad when Jim shared Mary's health with us.
They leave a wonderful legacy of faith to their family.
With our Deepest Sympathy,
Tom and Maxine Vigliotta

Mr. Straine will be missed. I gave him many rides to the boat, he talked to me a lot he told me when his wife was dying and what day she would pass. He told me how much he loved her and how long they were married, and how long she was in the nursing home. I will miss him so much Rest In Peace my friend I knew him for along time. I remember the day he told me his son got killed in the World Trade Center. So Haig Point friends and employees will miss him so much.
