Obituary of Bernadette Parlato
Alexandria Township: Bernadette Parlato, age 70, died on Thursday, December 31, 2013 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington. She was born in Staten Island and had lived in Warren for 33 years before moving to Frenchtown 6 years ago.
Mrs. Parlato was a receptionist for The Pingry School and was "The Voice of Pingry". She was a teacher's aide at Mount Horeb School in Warren.
She was a former Communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and Our Lady of the Mount Church where she taught CCD. Mrs. Parlato was a Communicant of Our Lady of Victories Church. She belonged to the Women's Auxiliary of the Mount Horeb Fire Company.
Mrs. Parlato loved to cook and bake for her family, continuing a long time family tradition. She also enjoyed crafting floral and holiday arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony "Skip" Parlato; her son, Joseph Parlato and his wife, Brenda of Kingwood Township; her daughter, Susan Parlato of Plainsboro and her two grandchildren, Danton and Samantha.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 10: 00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victories Church, 1005 County Road 519, Frenchtown followed by interment at Frenchtown Cemetery.
