Obituary of Jean A. Vasile

Jean A. Vasile Bedminster: Jean A. Vasile, age 102, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at her home in Bedminster. She was born in Manhattan and was raised in Manhattan and Brooklyn. She married Benjamin W. Vasile on October 8, 1939. She lived in Jackson Heights, NY from 1943 to 2001 when she moved to Bedminster. Prior to her retirement she was an Administrative Assistant for American Mutual Insurance Company in Queens, NY. Mrs. Vasile was a loving wife and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is predeceased by her husband, Benjamin W. Vasile in 2007. Surviving are her children, Michael Vasile and Natalie Gumersell and her husband, John; her grandchildren. Karen Gallop and her husband, Robert, Michael Vasile, Jr. and his wife, Beatrize, John Gumersell, Jr. and Janet Kessler; her great grandchildren, Julia Gallop, Amanda Gallop, Matthew Gallop, Avery Gumersell, Sabrina Gumersell, John Gumersell and Ben Kessler. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 29th from 2 to 6 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung. Funeral services will begin on Monday at 10 am at the funeral home followed by an 11 am Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Basking Ridge.
