Obituary of Anna Belle Taylor
Anna Belle (Morse) Taylor (Ball), age 87, was born in Boydton, Virginia on February 6, 1930 to the late John C. and Anna Belle Morse. She departed this life on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the Woodlands in Plainfield.
Anna Belle graduated from West End High School in Clarksville, VA before moving to Summit, NJ where she met and married Marion Eugene Taylor, Sr. and moved to East Orange, NJ then resided in Plainfield, NJ. Anna Belle was a past member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Plainfield, NJ. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, singing and listening to gospel music. Anna Belle loved spending time with her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
Predeceased by her husband Marion Eugene Taylor, Sr. in 2014; her son Marion Eugene Taylor, Jr. in 2017 and her grandson Eugene Gardner in 2000. in addition to her parents, six brothers, John, Frank, James, William, Earl, Samuel, Richard and one sister, Rosa.
Survived by her children Felicia Gass and her husband David, Carolyn R. Johnson, Gwendolyn Davis and her husband Kelly, Kenneth Taylor, Sr. and his wife Shonda and Anna Marie Ivey and her husband Ulysses; grandchildren Seniqua Johnson, Adrienne Johnson, Dorian Taylor, Ebony Hunter, LaNelle Brown, Kenneth Taylor, Jr. and Quiana Ivey;Great- grandchildren Elijah Johnson, Jayden Johnson, Tiana Hunter, Jaylen Barbosa, Kimona Taylor, Ace Brown, Kenneth Taylor, III and Ivey Williams; her siblings Irene Carter, Marie Eugenes, Florence Morse and Sterling Morse of Boydton, VA; she also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews extended family and loving friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 9-10 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. entombment will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge.
