Obituary of Barbara Giordano

Barbara Giordano, age 92, passed away on Friday December 29, 2017 at the Arden Courts in King of Prussia PA. Born in Plainfield, Barbara had resided in South Plainfield and Green Brook for most of her life before recently moving to Pennsylvania to be closer to her daughter. Barbara had received a Bachelor's Degree in English from Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY and later a teaching certificate and reading specialist certification from Kean University in Union. Prior to her retirement Barbara worked as a school teacher for over 25 years at the Warren Central Elementary School. She loved music and enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren. Her husband Gerard J. Giordano predeceased her in 2002. She is survived by her daughter Diane Bjornstad and her husband Peter and two grandchildren Michelle and Christopher Bjornstad. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6th, 2018 at the Presbyterian Church of New Providence, 1307 Springfield Ave. New Providence, NJ, from 9am to 10am. The funeral service will follow at 10am at the church. The interment will be at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge NJ.
