Obituary of Doris J. Reagan

Doris J Reagan, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on January 9, 2018 at Hackensack Meridian Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Shrewsbury, N.J at the age of 90. Doris was born on October 24, 1927 in Warren, NJ, where she lived her entire life. During her grammar school and high school years at North Plainfield high school, she excelled in all types of dance as well as acrobatics.

Doris met the love of her life Kenneth P. Reagan, who she married in 1949 and settled in Warren to raise their family. Family, her home and gardens were everything to Doris. She was extremely generous and willing to help out wherever she could. In fact in 1959, a neighbor needed elementary school bus drivers. Over 50 years later, after driving several generations of township children, Doris retired. She was the truest example of what it means to be genuine, kind and loving. As our late father always said, "she was the prettiest girl he ever met and the finest person he ever knew".

Doris is predeceased by her husband, son, Brian P. Reagan, her sister Edna Doody and brother William Lauer Jr.

Doris is survived by her daughter Shelley and husband Gary Binazeski, daughter -in-law Sally P. Reagan, granddaughter Keli B. Reagan, grandson Michael G. Reagan and great grandson Kenny Eimer. Also surviving is her sister Alice Freiday and her sisters-in-law, Barbara Lauer, Joan Shields, Bernice Kleile and Barbara Crockett.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by entombment at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge, NJ.
