Obituary of Francesca Vumbaca
Francesca Vumbaca age 96, died on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at her home in Cream Ridge, NJ. She was born and raised in Messina, Italy and lived in Edison and moved to Cream Ridge in 1987.
Mrs. Vumbaca was a home maker. She was a master crocheter and dress designer, enjoyed knitting and embroidery and was very artistic.
She always attended to Mass at St. Joan of Arc, St. John's, Our Lady of the Mount or St. Elizabeth's depending where she was living .
She is predeceased by her husband, Salvatore Vumbaca in1999 and her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Vumbaca.
Surviving are her children, Maria Siragusa and her husband, Michael, Pete Vumbaca and Mattia Vumbaca and her husband, Gene Lutz; her grandchildren, Lynette and her husband, Robert, Joseph and his wife, Jennifer, Alex, Francesca and her fiancé, Rob and Sal and his wife, Kaitlyn. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Giulia, Olivia, Anthony and Carolyn.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 23rd from 5 to 9 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Funeral services will begin on Saturday at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel. Entombment will be at St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia.
