Obituary of Kevin J. Burke

Kevin J. Burke, age 56, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, he had resided in Highland Park, grew up in North Brunswick then moving to Plainfield in 1992. Kevin had worked at Tops Appliances as a manager then Loews Home Improvement for 10 years before most recently working at Home Depot in Watchung. He was a communicant of St. Bernard's Church in Plainfield. In his spare time he enjoyed working in the yard, decorating for the holidays and entertaining family and friends. Predeceased by his father Joseph Burke in 2000. Survived by his partner Anthony Jeffries; his mother Patricia (Mock) Burke and his brother Brian Burke and his wife Denise. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018, from 5-8 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A gathering will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 9 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church, Plainfield. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia.
