Obituary of Nancy Ann Laible

Nancy Ann Laible passed away peacefully at home on Thursday April 12th surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 12, 1941 to Sam and Ida Panebianco, she grew up in Chittenango, NY as the eldest of four children. She was a graduate of Chittenango High School and LeMoyne College, where she studied Political Science. On June 29, 1963, Nancy married her high school sweetheart Charles Andrew Laible at St. Patrick's Church in Chittenango. Upon completion of Charles's military service, the couple settled in Andover, NJ before moving to Watchung, NJ in 1992. Nancy devoted her life to her family and surrounded her children and grandchildren with love. She worked for many years as an Account Executive at AT&T in Basking Ridge, NJ and volunteered at a variety of local soup kitchens and pantries. Nancy will be remembered for her incredible artistic talents. She enjoyed painting and ceramics, and produced artwork cherished by family and friends. She also loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Nancy touched many with her kindness and generosity and will be deeply missed. She was predeceased by her father, Sam (1976), mother, Ida (1996), and beloved grandson, Evan (2008). Nancy is survived by her husband Charles, three sons and their families, who were her pride and joy: John, Lynn, Alec and Ryann Laible of Syracuse, NY; David, Carole, Melissa, Christine and Dan Laible of Roseland, NJ; Eric, Beth, Ethan and Ava Laible of Clinton, NJ. In addition, she is survived by her three siblings, Michael (Doretta) Panebianco, Joseph (Annemarie) Panebianco and Lucy (Phil) Martin. She also has many loving aunts, nieces and nephews. Wake services will be held on Sunday April 15th from 4pm to 6pm at Higgins Funeral Home in Watchung. The funeral service will be held on Monday April 16th at 11am at St. Mary's-Stony Hill in Watchung. A celebration of Nancy's life will be held at the Brewster Inn, Cazenovia, NY from 6pm to 8pm on Friday, June 8th. Family burial services will take place on June 9th in Chittenango, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance (www.ocrfa.org).
