Obituary of Kathleen Zegar

Warren: Kathleen M. Zegar, age 46, died at her home in Warren. Born in Perth Amboy, Kathleen was a lifelong resident of Warren. Beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was a member of Our Lady of the Mount RC Church in Warren, where she taught CCD. Kathy coached recreation softball in Warren and volunteered in the Warren Girl Scouts as a co-leader. She was also a mentor to single mothers. She enjoyed playing tennis, bowling, golf and swimming. She loved the beach, sun, baking and cooking. Kathy could light up the room with her quick wit and beautiful smile. She is predeceased by her mother Elizabeth Zegar in July of this year. She is survived by a daughter Kayla Zegar of Warren; her father Frank Zegar of Warren; three sisters Debora Hibbs and her husband Karl of South Windsor, CT, Susan Lawrence and her husband Chris of Warren and Alison Arakelian and her husband Ken of Flemington; nine nieces and nephews, Connor, Sierra, Katarina, Casadi, Alexa, Reid, Maddy, Zoe and Jake. She is also survived by her god children Loretta Reilly, Tyler Yates, Connor Hibbs and Reid Lawrence. A visitation will be held on Tuesday September 18, 2012 from 6-9 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ. Funeral services will begin at 9:30am on Wednesday September 19, 2012 at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 am Mass of the Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount R.C. Church in Warren. Cremation services are private.
