Obituary of Evelyn K. Hawke

Evelyn K. Hawke, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Brandywine Senior Assisted Living at Mountain Ridge in Watchung. She was born and raised in Newark and lived in Union, Arizona and Warren before moving to Watchung 15 years ago. Mrs. Hawke was a homemaker. She loved the NY Yankees, playing cards with her family, baking and especially spending time with her family. Mrs. Hawke is predeceased by her husband, Francis Hawke (2005), son, Russell (2017),and her daughter and son-in-law, Gail Begley (2010) and Joseph H. Begley, Jr. (2005). Surviving are her siblings, Frederick Oppel, Irene Priece and Elfrieda Oppel; a granddaughter, Stacey Haykel and her husband, Jason and a grandson, Joseph Begley and her great-grandchildren Abigail and Jonah. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 24th from 11 am to 12 noon at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 12 noon funeral service. Entombment will be at Somerset Hills Memorial Park.
