Obituary of Walter G. Holz

Walter G. Holz, age 88, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Somerville. He was born and raised in Hamburg, Germany and emigrated to the United States in 1962. 

Walter was a certified electrician in both Germany and the United States. He worked for Schering-Plough in Union NJ and later as head electrician in their Madison NJ headquarters.

Walter loved his friends and family. He most enjoyed spending time socializing, watching German soccer, and rooting for his beloved home team, Hamburg SV. He also enjoyed learning about and visiting ships and sea vessels.

Surviving are his wife, Christa, his son Thomas and his wife Lauren, his son Andreas, and his daughter Karin and her husband Joseph.

A service will be held on Friday, May 4th at 11:00am at Trinity United Church in Warren NJ, with a gathering to celebrate Walter's life to follow.
