Obituary of Barbara Meller

Barbara (Kuhn) Meller, age 84, passed away on Friday April 27, 2018 at CareOne of Somerset Valley in Bound Brook, NJ. Born in Billet, Romania Barbara and her family moved to Austria and then in 1950 she immigrated to America. They settled in New Brunswick and later married her husband and moved to Warren in 1958. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren and a life member of the Watchung Hills Elks Lodge #885. She was also an active member of the Warren Watchung Seniors but was best known for growing tomatoes in her vegetable garden which she shared with everyone. Barbara is predeceased by her husband Harry Meller in 2006 and her daughter Carol Meller in 1992. She is survived by her son William J. Meller and his wife Kathleen of Warren and two grandchildren Daniel and his fiancé Abby Hoobler of Virginia Beach and Jennifer of Warren. A visitation will be held on Thursday May 3, 2018 from 4 to 8pm at Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 am on Friday at the funeral home followed a 10:30 Mass of the Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren.
