Obituary of Edward Smalla

Mr. Edward Smalla, age 91 passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Runnells Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Berkeley Heights. He was born in Newark and lived in Warren before moving to Berkeley Heights. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II serving in the South Pacific. He was self-employed, owning several different businesses throughout New Jersey. He loved fixing things around the house and enjoyed going to flea markets. He is predeceased by his siblings, Terry, Teddy, Ronnie, Blanche, Rosie and Joey. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel. Interment of ashes will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
