Obituary of Raymond T. Godleski
Raymond T. Godleski, a pharmaceutical executive who retired from Sanofi, died at home in Warren, NJ, on May 5, 2018, at the age of 74. He was surrounded in his last days by his family and close friends. Born July 27, 1943 in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of Harriet (Cackowski) and Raymond Godleski, both of whom predeceased him. He attended St. Peter's High School in New Brunswick, NJ, and was a proud graduate and avid supporter of Rutgers University.
Three of Mr. Godleski's favorite activities were traveling the world with his family, owning and watching race horses, and cheering his beloved sports teams. He is survived by his wife, Michele(Gaffney) Godleski; his five children, Barbara (Craig) Sable of Potomac, MD, Christine Godleski (Stephen Eleyet) of Colorado Springs, CO, Raymond T. Godleski, Jr., of Arlington, VA, Jeanne Godleski of Berkeley, CA, and Laura Godleski of Somerset, NJ; and his brother, Stephen (Patricia) Godleski of Fairport, NY. Godleski'sfirst wife, Margaret (Szymkowski), predeceased him in 1985.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ 07069. A Mass of the Resurrection will be on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 10:30am at Our Lady of the Mount Church, 167 Mt. Bethel Rd., Warren, NJ 07059. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway, NJ.
