Obituary of Mary Digirolamo
Mary (Romita) Digirolamo, age 93, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018 surrounded by her family at her home in Basking Ridge. Born and raised in the Bronx, she moved to Basking Ridge in 2001.
Mary was a business woman and working mother for 52 years. She worked alongside her father and brothers in the family business, Castle Oil Corporation, in the Bronx. Mary was a great cook and enjoyed having her family around her table. She enjoyed shopping and traveling to Europe.
Survived by her husband Joseph N. Digirolamo of 69 years; her children Silvia M. Mullens and her husband Terrence, V. Anthony Digirolamo and his wife Lisa and Mauro J. Digirolamo and his wife Janice; grandchildren Frank Ferrari and his wife Tara, Claire, Amelia, Joseph and Matthew and her great-granddaughter Fiona.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August, 2, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A funeral gathering will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 9 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Mary's Stony Hill Church, Watchung. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Stony Hill Cemetery, Watchung.
