Obituary of Edmund J. Zakowski

Edmund J. Zakowski, age 57, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Born in Newark, he had lived in Watchung since 1967. Edmund was a graduate of Watchung Hills Regional High School in Warren. He worked for Lehman Brothers in NY as a clerk for many years. Edmund was working in NY during the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, it impacted him tremendously and he lost many friends. Edmund was a member of St. Mary's Stony Hill Church in Watchung. In his spare time he was an avid sports fan especially the NY Rangers, Mets and the Dallas Cowboys. Edmund enjoyed listening to the Rolling Stones. He also, has a passion for sports cars and owned a Z28 Camaro. Predeceased by his father Edmund W. Zakowski in 1999 and his brother Eric Zakowski in 2013. Survived by his mother Rosemary Zakowski. Cremation was held privately.
