Obituary of Frank David Perkowsky, Sr.

Frank David Perkowsky, Sr. Frank Perkowsky, age 89. passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at RWJ at Somerset in Somerville. He was born in North Plainfield and was a life long resident. He graduated from North Plainfield High School. Mr. Perkowsky proudly served in the United States Army for 4 years during the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement he was a self-employed Tile Contractor for over 50 years. Mr. Perkowsky enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He is predeceased by his siblings, Lillian Ziomek, John Perkowsky, Edward Perkowsky, Thomas Perkowsky and Theresa Newman. Surviving are his loving wife of 67 years, Marie Schumacher Perkowsky; his sons, Frank Perkowsky, Jr. and his wife, Becky and John Perkowsky; his grandchildren, Ricky, Mike, Lora, Kellie, Frank, David and John; his great grandchildren, Ayden, Graycen, Frankie and Ronan and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 2 to 5 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. A funeral service will begin at 5 pm. Cremation is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Lustgarten Foundation, 415 Crossway Park Drive, Suite D, Woodbury, NY 11797 or to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation, 155 East 55th Street, Suite 6H, New York, NY 10022.
