Obituary of Ronald M. Rowe

Ronald M. Rowe, age 80, died on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Somerset Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Bound Brook. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and had lived in Warren for 50 years. Mr. Rowe was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education from Temple University and went on for his Master's Degree in Safety Education from Central Missouri State. He was a Physical Education and Driver's Education Teacher at North Plainfield High School for 32 years. Mr. Rowe was a member of the Millington Baptist Church. He loved woodworking including making birdhouses, furniture and Christmas ornaments. He played football in high school and college and was invited to try out for the Green Bay Packers. He was an avid football and basketball fan. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Audrey Rowe; his sons, Jeffrey Rowe and his wife, Karen of Toms River and David Rowe and his fianc, Kathy of Bridgewater; his daughter, Karen Karcesky and her husband, Nathan of Lawrenceville; his brother, John Rowe and his wife, Margie and his sisters, Dorothy Eiser and Shirley Kirk. Also surviving are his 5 grandchildren, Tyler, Devon and Avery Rowe and Brianne and Connor Karcesky. The family will be receiving friends and family on Wednesday, Sept. 19th from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at the Millington Baptist Church. The Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. A Private interment will be held at Somerset Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Millington Baptist Church, 520 King George Road, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920 or to the charity of your choice.
