Obituary of Vincent Albano, Jr.

Vincent Albano, Jr., age 89, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was born and raised in Newark and has been a resident of Middlesex for over 40 years.

Mr. Albano proudly served in the United States Army. He received his master's degree from Upsala College in East Orange.

Prior to his retirement Mr. Albano worked as a teacher and coach for David Brearley Regional High School, Arthur L. Johnson High School and Jonathan Dayton High School. Mr. Albano loved all sports but football was his favorite. He was affectionately known as "Coach".

His wife Roberta Albano predeceased him in 1993.

Surviving are his children, Maria Albano, Aliceanne Albano and twins, Grace and Vincent Albano; three grandchildren Marietta, Pamela and Jennifer and he is also survived by three great grandchildren Caleb, Isabella and Avery.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. Friends and family are invited to the funeral home on Monday at 11 am prior to the internment at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may made in to the family of Vincent Albano Jr.
