Over the past three years, my wife, my two daughters, and I would volunteer to call Sunday afternoon bingo at the McCauley Center. We love the sisters as well as the lay people who attend. One such sister who attended early on was Sr. Francis. Although she stopped playing bingo, she was always one of my favorite residents and we would often visit her after bingo was done. She'd often be found in Sr. Veronica's room with Sr. Elizabeth present as well. I found such joy sitting there with the three of them. Sr. Francis had such a wonderful sense of humor and would often make us all laugh.
With the both of my daughters keeping us busy on weekends during the fall and into the winter, we had been away from the McCauley Center. I was just very saddened to have heard of Sr. Francis and Sr. Elizabeth's passing in November of 2018. I wished that I had had the chance to see the both of them one last time.
My condolences go out to her friends and family. She was so sweet. I will keep her and all the sisters religious in my prayers.
