Obituary of Edgardo Chacon
Edgardo Chacon, age 78, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018, at Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth. Born in San Salvador, El Salvador he came to the United States in 1970, and lived in Plainfield and Cranford Before settling in North Plainfield for the past 18 years.
Edgardo was the owner of Chacon Trucking Company in Cranford for 22 years starting in 1980 until 2002.
Edgardo was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Plainfield. He enjoyed traveling, music and dancing, and was fond of food especially Spanish dishes. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and was married for 50 years to the love of his life Angela.
Survived by his loving wife Angela (Comayagua) Chacon; his 3 daughter’s Glenda Robles, Mayela Samayoa and Isela Chacon; 5 grandchildren Leslie, Gabriella, Emily, Paul Anthony and Tatiana; great-granddaughter Alanna; siblings German, Celia, Rolando and Rafael; his honorary grandchildren Jackie, Ivid, Janelle and Vicky.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A service will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Plainfield. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
