Obituary of Leroy Bryant
Mr. Leroy Bryant was born September 2, 1931 in Twiggs County (GA) to the parentage of Bennie and Ethel Bryant.
He attended the Twiggs County Public Schools. At an early age, he joined the Mount Gilgal Baptist Church.
He served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954.
He retired from Private Formulation Pharmaceutical Company after 38 years of service. After retiring, he worked for the Piscataway School System as a bus monitor. He loved being around the children. He stated, that they gave him youth again.
He enjoyed singing, acting, telling jokes, playing the piano and guitar. He lived a good life doing what he wanted to do. Leroy loved people so much that he got involved as a “Shop Steward” representing people with whom he worked.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife, Dorothy of 64 years; one sister-in-law, Judy Brown of Long Island, New York; three devoted nieces, Betty J. Smith, Diane Lindsay of Dry Branch, GA and Gloria Hodges of Atlanta, GA; a devoted great-niece, Claudine Ewing of Buffalo, New York; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; two special friends, Mrs. Monte (Mo) Steward and Mrs. Mary Aristilde of Piscataway, New Jersey.
